Vehicle Technician - with EV experience

Retroelectric Limited is a new dynamic company with a passion for converting classic cars to all-electric drive as well as provide services to modern Electric Vehicles (EVs). This position could be full time or part time and we pride ourselves in being a flexible employer and providing a great place to work. Additional training provided.

The Role:

The company is growing and we are looking to add a service technician role to work with the team based near Tunbridge Wells in Kent. The primary duties will be to diagnose and fix vehicle issues, both mechanical and electrical in nature, on modern electric vehicles.

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for someone with keen interest in cars and with proven service technician experience with (which must include experience working with Electric Vehicles). The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience working with EVs and have IMI Electric and Hybrid qualifications or similar to work safely on high voltage systems.

The successful candidate will also need to be highly motivated, good at problem solving and be able to work effectively in a small team. Experience and an interest in classic cars could be an advantage but not essential.

 

Duties To Include:

• Diagnosing and fixing common mechanical issues on cars, while being mindful of the safety risks posed by high-voltage EV systems

• Diagnosing and fixing specific electrical issues on modern electric vehicles

• Fitting and wiring EV components

• Problem-solving

• Technical expertise in delivery of vehicle servicing and diagnostics including diagnosis software

• Communication

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Attention to detail

• Willingness to learn new skills
